Privacy

Mad Connect stores your email, username, password hash, profile, friendships, server memberships, and messages to provide the service. Passwords are hashed; passwords and verification codes are never shared with other users.

Messages and media

Messages and attachments are stored in private service storage. They are not end-to-end encrypted. Calls use WebRTC transport encryption; a media relay may carry the encrypted traffic. Direct peer-to-peer calls may reveal participants' network IP addresses to each other. Message access requires current server membership and channel permission, or participation in the direct conversation.

Public Find a Group

This section requires confirmation that you are at least 18 and agree to its rules. We store the confirmation date, not a birth date or identity document. This is self-confirmation, not identity verification. Session posts, host names, and host avatars are visible to eligible signed-in users. Join requests and introductions are visible only to the host and their sender. Accepting a request creates a direct conversation, including when ordinary new-contact privacy is restricted. Server session invitations require acceptance. Reports are accessible to the designated platform moderator.

Seven-day retention

Server messages, direct messages, and their attachments expire seven days after the original send time. Editing or pinning does not extend that lifetime. Expired content is denied immediately by the service. Automatic cleanup normally runs every minute; storage failures delay physical deletion until a successful retry. Public session posts and their linked requests and reports are removed after seven days from posting. Account details, profiles, memberships, other moderation records, and friendships have separate lifetimes. Downloaded copies, screenshots, provider logs, and recovery backups are outside this policy. This is not a guarantee of forensic erasure from every device or backup.

Hosting and providers

The service runs on Cloudflare Workers, Durable Objects, D1 databases, and private R2 storage. Call relay credentials are issued through Cloudflare Realtime TURN. Verification and password reset email is sent through Gmail. Embedded YouTube videos contact YouTube when opened. These providers process the information needed to deliver their services.

Mad Connect remains under active development. Availability and features may change. Account deletion is handled by contacting the owner during this preview.
